Building Safety Inspection Scheme (Voluntary Scheme)

* It is a kind of building safety protection scheme which seeks to conduct inspections in respect of issues such as the integrity of the external finishes, structural stability and fire safety of buildings.
   
* The Scheme calls for co-operation of buildings owners to engage building professionals to carry out inspection on their buildings in accordance with recommended technical guildelines and standards.
   
* The inspection report will be deposited in the Buildings Department for audit check.

Upon completion of necessary follow-up remedial works on the buildings, the Authorized Persens (APs)/ Registered structural Engineers (RSEs) will issue Completion Certificate and Buildings Department will issue acknowledgement letter.
