Procedures for Periodic Electrical Testing

	A registered electrical contractor must be employed to test the electrical installations.
	Ask the electrical contractor to issue a 'Periodic Test Certificate' (Form WR2) for the electrical installations within a month after the test.
	Deliver the certificate together with the endorsement fee to the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) for endorsement within 2 weeks after the date of the certificate.
	The endorsed certificate will be posted to the owners' corporation. EMSD will randomly inspect the electrical installations that have been certified to have met the standards before endorsing the certificate.
	EMSD will carry out random and non-periodic inspection anytime to ensure that your electrical installations meet the statutory requirements. Please make available the certificates for inspection when required by inspecting officers.
